Cosmetic treatments make sense for blemished skin — active acne needs to be looked at by a doctor first.
What does professional extraction or a chemical peel actually do?
Chemical peels containing salicylic acid have been shown to help reduce blackheads. A randomized study on people with comedonal (non-inflammatory) acne found that after six peel sessions spaced two weeks apart, non-inflammatory blemishes dropped by roughly 48–56% (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, study on PubMed). The study compared a salicylic acid peel with a peel based on a salicylic acid derivative, not our specific BioRePeel treatment — but it shows the underlying method is well supported by research. That’s the same principle we build on at AFACIAL, without promising every blemish will disappear completely.

If you’re dealing with inflamed pustules, painful cysts, breakouts spreading across larger areas, or scarring, that needs to be looked at by a dermatologist first.
